Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus side-by-side
The newly launched iPhones by Apple are the thinnest ever. iPhone 5S and 5 were 7.6mm thick, but iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are even thinner. at 6.8mm iPhone 6 is the thinnest of the lot, and at 7.1mm, iPhone 6 Plus is just a tad bit more than it.
These are, of course, not the thinnest smartphones globally, as that title lies with Gionee’s Elife S5.5 with thickness of 5.5mm. Of course you cannot compare an Apple with what might be on offer from Gionee!

Apple has increased the pixel density of the two smartphones, with the smaller one having 38% more pixels at 1334x750p resolution and iPhone 6 Plus sporting 185% more pixels with screen resolution of 1920x1080p.
